Psychotherapy

In my view psychotherapy is a profound journey of self-discovery and healing. It delves deep into the recesses of the subconscious mind, exploring hidden motivations, unresolved conflicts, and unconscious patterns of behavior. This journey involves a therapeutic relationship characterized by trust and introspection, where the patient and therapist work together to unearth the roots of psychological distress. 
In my work I emphasize the importance of the therapeutic alliance, acknowledging that healing occurs within the context of the therapeutic relationship itself. Here, the journey is not just about uncovering the past but also about forging new, healthier connections and patterns of relating. Psychotherapy, seen from these intertwined perspectives, is a transformative expedition that fosters self-awareness, emotional growth, and ultimately, a more fulfilling life.

My name is Katalin Szabo

I am a licensed psychologist both in the state of California (PSY 34148) as well as in my home country of Hungary. I have been working as a therapist since 2005 and am a compassionate and dedicated psychologist with a wealth of experience in helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of their lives and relationships. With a deep understanding of the human psyche and a commitment to fostering emotional well-being, I offer a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and interpersonal dynamics. Whether you're facing personal challenges or seeking to enhance your relationships, I am here to provide evidence-based strategies to promote healing, personal growth, and improved communication.
